Swatch: Del Sol Foxy

I posted on Twitter last week that I had gotten free nail polish from my favorite casino. Which, in essence, is true. LoL

The IP Casino, Resort & Spa in Biloxi, MS has a Del Sol gift shop. So I decided to spend some of my comp dollars to pick up this nail polish. Thus, I didn’t spend any of my own dollars and it was “free.”  😉

Now, this is three coats. And yes, it’s thin and patchy as hell. I’m not convinced it will ever be opaque. I gave up at three coats so I could run outside to play before the sun went down.

Two of the nails have a coat of Seche Vite. Kirsten from Glitta Gloves had asked if Del Sol polish will change with top coat.

The answer is yes. Yes, it will change with topcoat. And it didn’t take any longer for the two topcoat nails to change.

I like how the pink shimmer shows up when it’s all purple and stuff. Wish it would stay purple all the time.

NOTD: Claire’s Confident/Peaceful

The second (and currently last) Claire’s mood polish I have is Confident/Peaceful.

It flashes from turquoise (Confident) when it’s warm to blue (Peaceful) when it’s cold.

Most of the time it looks like this:

The turquoise color is on my nail beds and the darker blue color is on my free edge.

Personally, I love these color-changing polishes. They’re quite a bit of fun to play with.

P.S. I am now a writer for Examiner.com.  I posted my first article (a review of a local nail salon) and hope to soon publish many more! Thank you for your support.  😀

Also, it’s easy to become an Examiner. If you are passionate about writing about things going on locally, you too can get paid. Personally, I love getting paid to get pedicures LoL. Just click here, and tell ’em I sent you.  😀

Pink Wednesdays: Claire’s Funky/Fabulous

Or Fabulous/Funky. Either way.

A new feature to this blog is Pink Wednesdays. I’ve chosen my inaugural post to be this nifty mood polish from Claire’s: Funky/Fabulous (or Fabulous/Funky). And it’s just as awesome as the description “mood changing polish” implies.

When your hands/fingers/toes are warm, it’s this hot reddish pink color (Fabulous):

When your hands/fingers/toes are cold, it’s this hot berry pink color (Funky):

Sorry for the water droplets. Had to make it change!

Most of the time, mine has a gradient look because my free edge is past the tips of my fingers (and therefore, cooler):

Couldn't get the camera to really capture it

All in all, these polishes are quite fun to play with–even if the changes weren’t that drastic in this one.
