31 Days of Halloween- Day 18: Crime Scene Nail Art

So did I ever tell y’all I have a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice? You can tell I really use it a lot, eh? LoL.

So remember the polish I showed you yesterday (Hard Candy Wicked)? I thought it would make a great backdrop for my crime scene.

Reminds me of an abandoned parking lot.

Incidentally, this is also my first splatter mani. Appropriate to use it for blood spatter (yes, it’s spatter when talking about blood patterns). I thought about going into forensics at one point–until one of my professors managed to bore the shit out of me and suck all of the fun out of it. So I went with a Juvenile Law specialization.

I apologize for not being able to focus. It’s late when I’m writing this.

Back to the program. I used the Fright Night Claw Polish in Bloodshed (appropriate) for the spatter. It was messy. I taped around my cuticles, then put cuticle oil where I’d missed spots so that I could clean this up when I was done blowing polish out of a straw.

I used white acrylic paint to draw the poor unfortunate soul on my accent nail. Then I used yellow paint to make the police tape. I thought about doing the writing in Spanish because that’s where my mind goes when it’s tired.

Did I tell y’all I have a minor in Spanish?

Ok Ok, sorry. I am done now. Enjoy!

  1. I love this; very clever! Have you thought about sending in this photo to the network station that has CSI show? πŸ˜‰

I know who to ask for when I need Spanish curse words, now. :DD

    • I have a lot of Spanish curse words, ma’am. πŸ˜‰

And, I don’t think the network would see my side of things when they’re trying to make a drama show.

  2. My “sista” is freaking creative! I’m ever so proud. *tear*

Even if these are a bit morbid for my tastes … but then, you know I have an extremely low threshold for anything gore-related … (it’s part of my charm, you know). πŸ˜€

  3. You’re gonna teach me some Spanish swear words right? please? ahaha πŸ˜‰ This is a really cool nailart, I love this.
